When I was little, my mom told me, "Homemade gifts are the best." She said it often enough that I believed her and took it to heart. From then on I made any gift I could and she always received each one as if it was a treasure.
After many years, making gifts became second nature to me. You can ask my friends and family and they will attest to that. Sometimes the gifts are perfect and other times they might not be, but they are always created and given with love.
Last year on Christmas Day I was reflecting back on all the canvases I'd made for my customers in the previous weeks and something wonderful dawned on me. On that day, over one hundred people would be opening gifts that I had made for them. I can't tell you the tremendous joy that gave me. What a beautiful thought!
That feeling stuck with me throughout the year and I hope it touched every canvas I made. As I entered this season I did so with an extra shot of joy and purpose and I close the season now with profound thankfulness.
I feel very honored to be entrusted with your precious photos and the opportunity to make something special for you and your loved ones. I feel it in my heart and I hope the prints that I create for you carry a little of that feeling in them, too, and pass it on when you share them.
